Investment Process

Foundation Ventures Fund I, L.P. seeks investment opportunities to which we believe we can add significant value based on our team’s particular skill set and experiences. We will consider a broad range of opportunities from seed stage to publicly traded securities within certain sub sectors of Information Technology and Life Sciences.

The members of our investment committee meet regularly to evaluate new opportunities. Each opportunity is evaluated on its own merits, however, in general our investment criteria is as follows:

• Experienced management with a proven industry track record
• Significant market opportunity
• Demonstrable competitive advantages
• Substantial barriers to entry including intellectual property and know how

Typically, one or more members of our Life Sciences or Information Technology advisory boards will assist us in evaluating aspects of a company’s technology and business model.
